VIOXX®
On September
30, 2004, Merck & Co., Inc., announced a voluntary worldwide withdrawal
of VIOXX® (rofecoxib), its best-selling arthritis and acute pain
medication. By noon of that same day, Strong, Martin & Associates
had filed the world's first post-recall Vioxx® lawsuit. By the close
of business on October 1, 2004, Strong, Martin had received telephone
calls or e-mails from hundreds of concerned individuals from Massachusetts
to California. Given Merck's success with Vioxx® many of the 2,000,000
Americans who have previously taken the drug will continue to contact
Strong, Martin.
As it did
with Bayer Corporation's withdrawal of its cholesterol-lowering drug
Baycol®, Strong, Martin will take an aggressive posture in representing
its Vioxx® clients. Because of its relationship with law firms throughout
the country, Strong, Martin has had and will continue to have clients
from all geographic regions and ensure that they receive the most efficient
and professional legal representation possible.
As a firm
we are dedicated to resolving the issues which have arisen with the
worldwide withdrawal of Vioxx® in a manner most favorable to our
clients. Based on our previous experience with pharmaceutical litigation,
the firm realizes the full extent of the effort and resources required
to successfully prosecute a client's claim against Merck & Co.,
Inc. We are prepared.
IF YOU HAVE
TAKEN VIOXX® PLEASE CALL US AT 1-866-859-7500 OR E-MAIL US AT info@strongmartin.com.
Any e-mail or telephone call received from a prospective client will
be responded to promptly. Any communication will be strictly confidential.
Unlike many law firms, we will not evaluate your case on the basis of
an e-mail message alone. If there are Vioxx-related injuries involved
we will obtain the medical records necessary for a complete evaluation
and will personally contact you to discuss your case. We welcome your
telephone calls and e-mails.
MOST IMPORTANTLY:
If you or a loved one has taken Vioxx® you should contact your physician
for an alternate medication or treatment and to determine whether any
tests or treatment is warranted because of your ingestion of this drug.
