BAYCOL®
On August
8, 2001, Bayer Corporation and its German parent company, Bayer AG,
voluntarily withdrew its cholesterol-lowering drug, Baycol® (cerivastatin),
from the United States market. On August 10, 2001, Strong, Martin
& Associates filed in the United States Federal Court for the
Western District of Oklahoma, the world's first Baycol® lawsuit.
Strong, Martin & Associates was subsequently chosen as counsel
by individuals with Baycol-related injuries from throughout the United
States. As of August 2004, the firm has secured compensation for its
Baycol® clients in excess of Fourteen Million Dollars ($14,000,000.00).
Strong, Martin continues today to work for its Baycol® clients
in federal and state courts.
